Hey guys, finally getting a new rig after a long time saving for it. I want it to pretty much play anything on the best graphics available. I'll also be doing some Photoshop and AutoCAD/Rivet on it. I have to get a new monitor as well, if any of ye know if its a good one then please but my mind at ease. Thanks for ye're time in advance. :yes:

I dont want overclocked Processor but I cant seem to change it in the configure page. I'll want SLI donw the line but atm I really dont have the funds for it thats why im getting the 750w PSU. I would love to get the 1200w one but as i said. The funds are tight.

Also will this rig last for a good few years without me having to replace much to it?

If you are not planning to overclock the CPU I would get the i7-4770 (non-k) and the triple copper heat pipe CPU cooler. I don't think silver warranty will be beneficial to you if you are outside of the UK.

Just a note, you suggested the silver warranty but life in Ireland, I'm not sure if the 'return to base' parts of the warranty count when not on the UK mainland (PCS should be able to tell you for certain).

Oh I didnt realise that the warranty wouldnt include people from the republic of ireland. And the CPU I will change when I find the option in the drop down bar. SO it wouldnt be beneficial to get the water cooling for when I SLI it down the line? and what do you think about the monitor? Ive also no real experience with good cases so is the one ive selected a good one or?

Also how future proof is it?

The water cooler is for the CPU not gpu. If you are not going to overclock I would suggest changing the CPU and CPU coolers you have pretty high end components but it is difficult to say how future proof it is, you shouldn't have issues with games at high settings.

Oke thanks for all the advice, trying to downgrade the CPU but the option isnt there for some reason. Is there anything else that ye think I should change or upgrade?

Get the 4770, more than enough. And get the 1600MHz RAM, there'll be no benefit getting the 2400MHz.

Ive been looking up about overclocking and ive decided I will overclock the CPU. If im overclocking should I still get the Copper Heatpipe or go with the water option? So having the better ram wont help with using my Programmes as I said in the first post like AutoCAD/Rivet/Photoshop/Rendering textures and images?

Should I get more fans on the computer? I really just want to keep the whole rig with cool temps and is that case known for good circulation/space?

If you are overclocking I would get the h80i, you can get a pre-overclocked system from PCS. The case is fine, I wouldn't worry about adding additional fans.

If you're overclocking your CPU then the faster RAM will be beneficial. There are no benefits to it with a CPU at stock clocks.

Hmm, well my budget was kinda 2000 Euro and im kinda after going over that a small bit. Im not quite sure what to do : (

Oke this is my thinking atm, what if I get the "K" version of the CPU and get the Copper Heatpipe for now? So I wont overclock the CPU till I can afford the proper water cooling. Ive been reading that it isnt that hard to install it. Or would the h60 be enough?

Im planning on getting this monday evening, if im confident in what to do lol

'Proper' watercooling is much more difficult to install than a standard air cooler or the all in one water coolers (like the H60).

The H60 would cope fine with moderate overclocking but if you plan on achieving much higher clocks then you might need to consider going full loop.

It is very achievable though, it is more difficult than air/all-in-one but its certainly not impossible. Installing a water coler may require you to take the motherboard out to fit the backplate/bracket. The i7 goes up to 3.9ghz, a non-k i7 is still good enough

So its either get the h80i or dont get the K CPU and reduce the ram as it wont be beneficial?

Eve if you overclock and get 2400mhz ram I doubt it will be noticeable ram wise

EDIT: Its an extra 12 euro to upgrade to the H80i so I think i'll do it Its also telling me that the H80i wont fit in the case I selected : (

That's a shame. At least its one decision made Unless you were now thinking of changing cases (overclocking is fun, but its certainly not essential or even beneficial in general for gaming at least).
