Hi,
It's been almost a couple of years since I bought my last PC from PCspecialist. I bought a laptop at the time which I've been delighted with. It's lasted me extremely well and has been perfect for me as I've been moving around quite a bit until recently.
Now looking to upgrade to a new desktop for gaming with a budget of ~£1000 (could go a bit higher). Game wise, looking to play things like Diablo III, Dota 2, Skyrim on max settings with high fps as well as newer games coming up like WildStar etc.
Would anyone be able to advise me on the best spec I could get for this budget at the moment? I also have a few questions:
- When I last bought my laptop, it came with a copy of Windows 7. Could I potentially use this again on my new PC or would I need a new license? I'm quite happy with Windows 7, but upgrading to 8.1 might be recommeded - can anyone advise?
- Is this as good a time as any to buy a PC or would it be advisable to wait for a new cycle of processors/graphics cards etc. Used to keep track of things like this but somewhat out of the loop now!
Thanks for your help!
