Gaming Laptop help!

Hello fellow PC Specialist-ers!

I am looking for a gaming laptop that will run games like Skyrim, FIFA 13 etc etc, and that will be suitable for a little video editing.

Already a PCS customer and I am extremely happy with this company, from their customer service (The DPD delivery fellow was a delightful chap, props to them also!) to the amazing community they have created here on the forums!

ANYWAY, my budget is around £1000! I'm useless with laptop specs!

Just out of curiosity what levels of graphics are you hoping to play skyrim at?

My laptop in my spec was around the lower side of £1000 and i would have to play with medium/low settings @1080p.

Also what size laptop are you after?

Hi Steve,

I'm not too bothered, as long as it's not on ultra low! If it's a decent medium setting then I will be happy, it's not for intensive gaming use anyway, it's just so I can mess around when I'm away from home! I would mostly be playing FIFA on it anyway.

As for size, anything above 15" would be fantastic!

Hi Scott,

Just having a quick look over the laptop options, using this as a base model would be a good start and going from there really. This is only because of the GPU it offers (which in this case would make the biggest difference for your games).

The below spec is just over your budget but should be good. The only way up from here would be to upgrade the HDD to and SSD. Upgrading the CPU at this point wouldn't offer much performance gain.
