Hi All,

I'm new to designing my own computer like this, so would much appreciate any comments people have. This will be the main house computer, but I do like to play games and I also do a lot of photo editing.

The reason for the third hard disk is as backup.

Any thoughts welcome.

Thank you,
James.

Morning James,
Are you planning in overclocking the CPU? Do you need an OS? If you plan to overclocked your system I'd suggest a pre-overclocked system from PCS to avoid instability issues and it is also going to be covered by your warranty.

Thank you for the quick response rubensolo.

No - I don't think I will be overclocking - not sure how to do that! I already have an OS, so was planning on installing that myself and saving a few pounds. Any comments on the power supply chosen? And does a liquid processor cooler add anything over a standard one in this setup?

Thanks!
James.

I'd suggest the i5-3570 (non-k), you do not need a liquid cooler since you are not plannig to overclock. The triple copper heatpipe will be a better choice. The power supply for the spec you posted is fine, are you including windows in your budget?
