What's your max budget and usage (ie games you play)? Is there a reason you went for AMD over nVidia?

wow/crysis3 so needs to be good for both cpu/gpu intensive games, I went AMD an got a better rig for cheaper on my last purchase with pcs, trying to do the same?!, £1400.

That processor is going to bottleneck the whole system. For your budget I'd be looking at a quad core i5 over amd. Are you going to be overclocking?

Seems unbalanced. I wouldn't go with a 290 in crossfire and an AMD cpu, as indicated before your cpu will bottleneck your GPU and those GPUs run loud and hot (reference model)

Resolution? Not sure what you mean by lesser graphics is not better. At 1920x1080 resolution a single gtx 980 will be plenty and there wouldn't be need to add another gpu so you could save money by downgrading the motherboard and psu.
