Hi mate, no worries there's a number of changes I'd make to optimise this, the monitor is a 27" 1440p 170Hz and it's a really good monitor but it wouldn't be a good pairing for the 4070Ti infact the 4070TI is super overkill for it. Ideally you'd want a 4K 144hz monitor to get the most from that GPU

You've still left out the green link from the specs pages, that makes it much easier for us to help we can make the amendments and show you the changes we've made without having to replicate the entire build which can take time. Give me 5mins I'll come back with an alternative to help you get the most for your cash.

Only question I have is if you've bought the monitor already? The monitor itself would be a bottleneck to a system this powerful

Thanks for your input. I'll stick with Intel, had a bad experience with AMD in the past. I've added the green link now.
The monitor I have is already owned by me and is only 6 months old, so I'm not inclined to change it. So I'll need to look at another Nvidia card- any recommendation please?

You'll find AMD are a completely different company now and have effectively changes places with Intel. Now with Intel having the shady business practises, not standing over design flaws (12900K literally melting and warping the chip, in their words that's "by design"), Shody support and constantly insisting on using old architectures that's causing their CPU to be super power hungry and generating obscene amounts of heat making them difficult to cool and preventing thermal throttling. But hey it's your money all I can offer is advice you don't have to take it

You would have to drop some pretty drastic tiers and go back a generation to get 1440p 144hz level GPU's. A 3070 would be perfect but it feels like walking back a massive step in a build of this quality.

I'd say stick with the 4070Ti but aim to upgrade the monitor to a 4K 144hz whenever you can would be the best move. The GPU is the most expensive part of any build so you really want to make sure you get the most out it. To get the most out the 4070Ti you want a 4K 144Hz monitor

To pair with your monitor all you need is a 3070

Maybe the 4060 or the 4060Ti when they release could be a very good option but I don't know when that could be

FYI, the config in the green link you've attached is not the same as the config you've listed...but it might just be the additional Solidigm SSD you've added.

If you're staying with Intel, then I'd suggest you at least go to the 13th Gen...and get one of the Corsair AIO liquid coolers to control the heat that it will be putting out (same goes if you stick to 12th Gen). However, you may save a few £££ by going for the 13600K as it's as performant as the older 12700K.
