I'm trying to get hold of a Cooler as the last link in the build of a £2800 Ryzen Desktop.

Getting hold of a modular PSU from Corsair was a nightmare as most were Out of Stock. I may have got around that by spending £207 to go for the top 1200w one!.

Now to the Cooler.

There is not a single Corsair cooler available even though the availability on the "Build" page shows 4 available from H60 to H115 Pro. However, as soon as you press Proceed it says they are unavailable with an ETA of mid July or even mid-August.

I am now looking at the Noctua NH U14S as its supposed to be very quiet - the key requirement.

I'm looking for quietness above all and the key kit inside is Ryzen 3800x, AMD Radeon 580 8Gb and 3 SSD's and 1 HDD plus usual bits.

Has anyone got the Noctua and have good or bad experience of it?

Thanks for any info.

I have decided on what I want in my new build here which will be a spend of £2800.

However, I am looking for a 4k monitor (3840 x 2160) not WQHD wide. PCS only have 2 listed, one has poor reviews and the other is unavailable.

Am I allowed to post a question here about other people's advice/choices even though its something I'll not be buying from PCS?

Yes, for a monitor that's fine.

Rather than asking for help with individual parts, if you post your full proposed spec then we can advise. All components depend on other components.

£2800 for a 3800X and a 580 sounds a bit off to be honest. Methinks it could do with a re-jig :D
