Yes, I believe you have a month to order an extension, I ordered without and then called up later for gold.

Are we talking about the insurance (accidental damage) or the warranty (parts failing through no fault of yours)?
If you don't have the PC yet then I'm sure you could get the insurance and/or the warranty cover, since it's just an amendment to your order.
I think Spyder's right that you get 1 month to upgrade the warranty - not sure about the insurance.
Note that your household / contents etc insurance may contain some kind of cover for your electronics.

Yeah, sorry, read that as warranty not insurance... what he said. If it is dedicated insurance, do check your own/families as it’s usually very cheap to add an item like a pc.

I will do my best to bring some clarity on this matter below.
Warranty
One is able to upgrade to upgrade the warranty on a order 3 months prior to the parts warranty expiring - The new warranty will still have the start date of the original warranty, but will run longer - I.E. Silver grants 1 year on parts Upgrading to gold with give you an extra year on top of the expiry date of the parts warranty.
Insurance
The 3rd party insurance can only be purchased when finalising the order, after the sale has gone through we are unfortunately unable to add the insurance after the sale.
