Hi vimto!

Ok the core spec is great, no changes there. You could stand to lose the sound card and use on-board unless you need the extra connections the card provides.

Right, the problem, XP?

You are buying a good mid range DX11 graphics card and loading an OS that doesnt support anything past DX9. I cannot put into words how strongly i feel you need to change the OS to 7.

But heres a few things you are going to be missing out on by going XP:

You have 4Gb ram, XP being 32 bit will allow use of 3.2Gb at most and restrict apps to 2gb.

WoW's experimental DX11 mode that uses the DX11 API to improve fps by on average 20-25%? forget it, you have the hardware but not the OS

More secure, reliable and future proof than a soon to be abandoned decade old OS, etc etc etc.

Anyway im sure you see what i am subtly hinting at here, if its a gaming rig, it has to be 7.

If you can, you should think about upgrading to the Silver Warranty (it's only a fiver) and the hard drive to one of the WD Caviar drives, will make it speedier on loading stuff in general.
And yeah as Gorman said go Win7.

Unless you want to rig some huge 7.1 system to it no its not needed, so yeah solid spec.
