GPUs - 550 ti or 6770?

Since my budget for my computer has now gone up, I want to get a better graphics card. So I am torn between the Radeon 6770 or the GeForce 550 ti. Which is better in terms of framerate in games? And is the difference a lot?

general rule of thumb to gpus(only my opinion) AMD usually destroy nvid in terms of power BUT nvidea bosts better support.
Also amd are prone to alot of bugs almost every card ive ever had. So better support + less bugs VS sheer brute power....choice is yours my friend!

AMD tend to be more value based, slightly less top end power but much better value for money overall.

I would say get the 550Ti as it is slightly more powerful than the 6770.

bg92 is right, the 6850 is pretty much on par with the 560, so should be much better

although if you really can't afford that, it'd be 550Ti all the way

So, out of the three we've discussed, the 6850 is the most powerful one?

Sounds good to me, I wanted to go AMD but figured the 550 ti was better than the 6770.
