I was playing Destiny 2 and all of a sudden my PC shutdown. It booted back up immediately so I'm not sure if there were any signs of overheating. But ever since that shutdown it takes a long time for my GPU to cooldown after gaming, before the shutdown it would usually drop down to about 30c after I'm done gaming but now it takes maybe up to an hour to drop back down to even something like 45c. I've started using MSI Afterburner to make a custom fan curve on my GPU based on the temperature as sort of a remedy but I never had to rely on something like this before. What could be wrong with my GPU?

I clean it out monthly with a can of compressed air.
