GTX 570 vs GTX 480

Im wondering if its worth getting either the 480 or the 570 in my build, any advice?
Also, they will come to around the same price (GTX 570 from PCS and the 480 coming from eBuyer)

I'd say the gtx 570. It consumes less power, is quieter, and has a slightly more powerful GPU. However, the 480 has 1.5gb VRAM compared to the gtx 570's 1.3GB, so on some games at really high resolutions, the 480 may be a bit faster. But where GPU power comes into it more than memory, like bad company 2 say, gtx 570 is quicker.

BTW, when you mean really high res, do you mean 2560x1600?

Thanks. It might impact a bit on 1920x1080, but it will be negligible 2-3 fps at most, I think.

Grab the 570 as its resolution isnt a big margin not to mention as jonnypx its certainly power hungry. save yourself on the electricity bills
