Hard drive noise

concerned about my hard drive as it's making a weird noise hard to describe but it's like the same sound as putting a scratched disc in a ps2

Have you made sure it's securely in place i.e. hasn't move whilst in transit?

I'll try this now, its secure but maybe it isn't the hard drive every time it makes the sound a orange LED flashes btw which is just under the chip board of the graphics card

How did you get on? Might be worth running the Western Digital Diagnostics for peace of mind;

Yeh meds I don't have a clue what it is now might be GPU/CPU/fan/HDD but the sound may be normal not sure not much infomation I can give you other then what i've described I'll run that program now

If you download the "datalifeguard for Windows" and run it, should work fine as you have the WD Caviar Black HDD.

Has this noise occurred from the beginning or had it developed after few hours use? If the latter, have you moved the PC at all?

it was from word go I'll try that, did the extended 3 hour check - Passed still can hear that noise though
