HD partition

Hi,

I just received my new Optimus laptop.
But I requested the main 500 HD to be partitioned in 2, 200/300 go.

At the moment, I see only one partition, the C drive with 230go.

I don't know if my request was not correct or of it was not done properly, but how can I mount a D drive with the remaining Go of the HD?

Thanks

Thomas

This is off the top of my head and instructions may not be accurate

Open the start button, highlight the search box, and type in disk management, open it, then on the left it should say your drive name and size, then it will probably have a 200gb partition and either 300gb partition or blank, if it is actually a partition you just need to activate it to show in windows, i cant remember how, just right click and look through the options, if it is not partitioned, right click and create partition, make it maximum size then make it NTFS format, then let it do its work

Hope this helps

check in Disk Management.Click Start, type diskmgmt.msc in to the Search box.
your missing drive should appear there,if so it might just be unallocated,
Right-click on the black bar of the drive, and then click Change Drive Letter and Paths/click add/Click Assign the following drive letter if it is not already selected, and then either accept the default drive letter or click the drive letter that you want to use.
