Looking at your previous threads, I think you didn't go for wireless so you might want to make sure both ends of the ethernet cable are properly plugged in, one to your PC and one to your router, its possible one of them just isnt plugged in properly.

As Rakk said,if you are connecting with ethernet cable check the connections, but if you have ordered a wireless card and trying to connect wirelessly make sure you connect the antennas.

I'm not using a wired connection?
Only you can tell us if you're trying to use wired or not :)
I presumed you were using wired given your comments in your other thread.

Have you connected the antennas to the wireless card, assuming you have one?

He didnt order a wireless card as far as I can tell from the other thread for when he was ordering it.

Doesn't the 10/100/1000 GIGABIT LAN PORT have an antennae built in?
No,LAN is the standard wired ethernet connection, not wireless,if you don't have a wireless card you need to connect your PC to the router with an ethernet cable.

No, as I stated when you asked in your other thread, if you wanted wireless you would need to order a wireless card or homeplugs, you said you didn't from what I understood.

sorry to hear ya having troubles, probably worth giving PCS a call to see if you can buy a wireless card.

Well actually, what rakk said. Get a set of homeplugs instead!

You're probably right sorry, one of his previous posts though included a wireless card,it does look now like he doesn't have one and needs to connect through an ethernet cable

Gonna ring them tomorrow. I'd rather buy one myself tomorrow instead of waiting even longer to get another component. I need to connect to the Internet for my games.

Pop to your nearest Argos / PCWorld and get a set of homeplugs, plug one into the power socket next to your router and connect a Cat5 cable to it and your router, then connect the other to near your pc setup power socket and plug in another cat5 cable from that to your PC, may need them Synching (press of a button).
Voila connection to the internet

Second the vote for homeplugs. If you have any electrical store within 20 minutes of you, you could be connected to the internet in 42 minutes.
