Help with AMD Workstation for Medical Research

Hi guys, this is a configuration we would like to purchase for medical research. Any advice? Or maybe there are other builds better? (We prefer staying with AMD but if there is an Intel based system that is much better we can change).
ps. the system will mount linux (debian med).

I have a workstation where i work (in hospital too), and we're using a workstation with 2 SSD and 2 HDD smaller than the one in your spec and a NAS to do the backup. What do you think about it ?
I know that we have a better GPU inside the workstation, so, maybe it ocul be a good idea to upgrade your ?

The new 5000 series Threadrippers are rumoured to be just around the corner mate, they were supposed to launch last month but have been postponed but can't imagine them being very far away

I'd honestly recommend waiting

Thanks for the reply. We have a NAS too, but it is not always available because it is the NAS of the general department and it is used not only by us and frankly it is very slow 😅. This is why we thought of this configuration with 4 HDDs (in Raid 1) to always have most of the files we need available. We would like to use the NAS only for back-up of large databases.
For the GPU we only needs something to turn on the screen 😂. Our works needs a lot of core/threads but doesn't need powerful GPU.

Yeah I know but our old workstation left us this Monday and we need something to replace it quickly.
