Help with Quiet PC Spec Please

Hi, I would like a quiet pc, I do some gaming (Total War, Football Manager - nothing too demanding) and editing of +12mp photos in photoshop.

Don't really care whether Intel or AMD, am open to guidance on all aspects. I like the idea/speed of SSD (because the HDD is always the bottleneck) but they are costly. Would like to keep power consumption lowish.

Don't need new screen/speakers & have my own windows 7 disc.

I would like to spend £700 or less, and absolutely cannot go over £1000.

Anyone able to help me on this?

4GB of RAM is more than enough for photo editing.

You might want to consider gtx570 or gtx470 as photoshop mignht be uing cuda cores, and i5-2500,
The build below is a bit more expensive, upgraded cpu, gtx470 instead of amd6870, and here you get an ssd,

I have the Sileo 500 and Vertex SSD. This combination works well - the Sileo's input fan directs air through the disk mount area and with just the SSD and no internal hard disks, the airflow is good despite the Sileo's deliberately restricted air intakes down the sides of the front panel. With a copper cooler you can keep the CPU temps down and fan speeds low. In a typical room you can't hear that this system is on from less than 30cm.
