Just checking in, I have bought from PCS before for my son and daughter in law and both rigs have worked well over the years, though I have "upgraded" them from Vista to XP. I am now looking for a new gaming rig for myself (despite being an ancient 64 year old)and naturally came back to PCS. Over the years I have taught myself the art of PC system diagnoistics and repairs`(all from Magazines) Its nice to see PCS is still going strong

Thanks for the friendly welome everyone, yes porthos was one of the 3 musketeers, however when I get my avata sorted out you will find its a different porthos

Although somewhat ancient I got the gaming bug after buying my son a PS3 and thereby inheriting a PS2. Now I'm hooked so much I decided a new PC was the answer to expected boredom when I retire next week. Hav'n't yet decided on full spec but have got a far as an Intel i5 750 overclocked along with a Radion 5770. Half the fun is working out the specs of a new PC. I will have to compromise on what I would like ,but thats life

Anything that gets the brainbox working overtime and the adrinalin pumping. I have played Call of Duty and Crysis on a mates computer , and intend to get them for myself ,makes the PS2 look tame

I am going to get MW2 from steam too (When I get my PC that is :\)

Hi Porthos, welcome to the forums!

The Intel i5 750 is in the process of being replaced by the i5 760 CPU. We are currently working on overclocking the 760 and listing it on in our overclocked PCs section early next week :)

When did you place the order Micr? The Intel i5 760 was released last Monday (18th July) and has been available to order since that date. As Porthos hasn't placed an order with us yet, it will the the 760 he will order, not the 750 as it is no longer available.

When I'm back in the office (tomorrow), I'll look into your order for you.

Well, my first order was an i5-750 (20th of July) but then I amended that for an i5-760 (22nd of July) ;D

I misunderstood your post because you wrote i7 760

I'm glad you posted. Always nice to see someone older than myself, if only by a year :D

Also good to hear from someone with past experience in purchasing from PCS. My current order is the first that I've placed with them. My usual supplier, in my home town, was bought out by someone else and I wasn't very impressed with the phone conversation I had with them. I decided to go with PCS after the great support that the admins are providing in these forums, so just waiting on delivery now.
