Hot key/ backlit k/b problem

Hi all

My backlit k/b has stopped working, only comes on blue and I can't restore it to my normal multi colour setting. I keep getting a popup message when I boot up saying something along the lines of "driver did not load, system need to be restarted. This used to happen occasionally and a restart would fix it, now it happens every time.

I decided to go to my account page to see if I could get the hotkey driver, but I'm told that "no orders with downloads available at this time". Not sure what this means, i've had the pc for around 2 years 3 months, do PCS withdraw access to drivers after a certain time ?

Could anyone point me to a hotkey driver (for windows 7 - vortex iv 770M).

well i've got a driver OK from the pcs sitenow, i was logging in using an older set of credentials.
Do i just run the setup file ?

No luck i'm afraid, after installing there was nothing in the system tray, so I found the exe file. Running it gave me the normal sys tray icon, but left clicking does nothing and right clicking gives me a "keyboard indicator" tickbox, nothing else.

Should i have uninstalled the older ?? version first. The version i'm reported as having (7.0030) isn't the one i thought i'd installed (2.24.28).
Something else, there's a larger control centre icon to the left hand side, next to firefox and thunderbird icons. If i hover on it, it shows a small preview of the control centre, but clicking it does nothing. Very confusing !

i seem to have sorted it temporarily, (but only with the version 8 colour) that the laptop came with ver 7.0030. Can't get the newer version from the pcs site to work (07 hotkey w7). Also the brightness doesn't work, if i try to increase the brightness the back lighting turns off !

For an updated win 7 driver, try direct from www.clevo.com.tw model number p150sma for the 15", p170sma for the 17"

Ah, ok, gutted.

The only other thing I can think of is that on the older versions of hotkey, when you first run it it asks you to configure the backlit keyboard and mouse setup, if you configure it wrong, it breaks the driver and certain things won't work correctly.
