How did you cope with your wait after ordering?

Hi all, this morning I just got my notification that my order was dispatched after only 6 working days (9 calender days)! Those 9 days however were the worst for me! They saw me coming onto the website every few hours, checking to see if there were any updates on my order and reading through threads on the forum. I've read that there have been some people who have had to wait about 20 days (although they have made changes along the way to their order).

How did you deal with your wait?
What is the most effective way to get over your wait time in your opinion?

I was working hard trying to whittle down the days until dispatch and delivery... so hard! Ended up booking 4 days off once the Beast arrived to fully enjoy it.

I dealt with the wait by re-watching my Breaking Bad Box set in the evenings whilst the old pc was out of action.

S'pose alcohol might make some days disappear if you drink the right quantity (Not that I'd ever condone that sort of behaviour...being Tee Total!)

the way i coped was by having a nervous break down and being sedated for the whole time i was waiting.

I'd second that, although that's not actually what I did... I was logged into my pcs account refreshing the page every five minutes... Couldn't work, couldn't sleep, in the end I asked a friend to knock me unconscious for the remaining time. Weekends were the hardest.

It'll be delivered within the next hour! :) Although DPD seem to be having a few issues with tracking at the moment I cant see where abouts it is :( :(

Definitely agree that weekends are the worst for waiting as there is no updates to be seen! Think fast track will be the way forward when I next place an order like Keynes said. Although 6 working days from order to dispatch ain't bad

Arrived safe and sound yesterday just before 11am and all seems to be working as it should! However th worst thing about it was definitely the wait and anticipation for it being delviered! defintly think that paying extra for a fast track build is well worth it and when it comes around to getting my desktop upgraded in a year or so, i'll be looking to fast track!
