I've had my new PCS Computer for a month now, and I used Windows Easy Transfer to transfer all my data from the old computer using XP. All worked fine except for my Excel spreadsheets which appeared to transfer but now won't open. Can anybody advise how to open .xlr files on Windows 7? Thanks.

.XLR files are not Excel spreadsheets. They come from Works. Some versions of Excel can open them. You may need to associate .XLR files with Excel.

Thanks guys. Well nothing I tried would open .xlr files, until I searched the net and found OPEN OFFICE, a free download. This worked fine. It converts .xlr to .odf and saves them in that format.

It amazes me that Windows 7 does not support your old .xlr files, I have many such speadsheets that I can not do without!
