how is the Toshiba Qosmio X75-A7295 so much cheaper then vortex?

Hi

I stumbled across this laptop.

How can it be so much cheaper then a vortex with the same specs?
I understand there might be some small differences but they differ a lot in price.

I'm not doubting about PCspecialist because i know its good quality for good price but i just wonder how that toshiba can be so cheap?

Is this from a UK retailer?

I'd guess its just because Toshiba will have many many many of these laptops pre-made and as such they can cash in on bulk buying discounts from the component manufacturers. Also I cant find that laptop for sale in the UK (or in £'s) anywhere, even from Toshiba themselves.

If its not that then the site I found the laptop for sale on is definitely a large quantity purchase site and will probably get a good deal from Toshiba (they were also offering $200 off the laptop's price themselves).

Also, when quickly speccing the laptop I found the Vortex was approximately £200 more expensive, however once you considered that included the RTB warranty from PCS for a year and delivery to the UK (which the other website was not able to offer, they wouldn't even ship to the UK) I'd begin to suggest the prices are perhaps more close than you might think.

If not available in the UK probably comparing a US retailer with a UK retailer.

I'd say definitely, it was a popular US seller kinda sounds like a rainforest where I found the laptop. Still I think the price difference all things considered isn't particularly big, especially if you remove the US seller's discount. We will have to see what happens if these are ever released over here. I suspect they'll be competitively priced. Similar to PCS. But hey, maybe I'm a fanboy

Not a fan of Toshiba, had a couple of bad experiences with their laptops. I think PCS will be priced cheaper when/if the Toshiba laptop is released in the UK.
