I don't believe in cable management!

I'm amazed at just how quiet this thing is. Having needed to use a cooling mat for my previous laptop and so used to the mat's fan going constantly, this is just silent. I'm aware the fans don't typically run while there's no load, but this just feels eerily quiet. Still setting up all the apps, etc, but figured I'd throw a couple of pics out there.

I took this an hour or so back, but you get the idea. I'm partially sighted and not good with organisation, so my sister has offered to arrange my cables during the week, so that side of things will improve.

A mighty fine setup you got there, along with the 4k monitor. 500d case looks super premium. Looks like we got the same creative speakers, they really pack a punch. I'm sure you'll be crushing those triple a games with ease on your current setup.

Nice setup, amigo. And seeing as you have issues with your vision I’ll give you a free pass on the cables... for now.

Really glad you finally got it, enjoy! 👍

Looks great, however rear fan cough 😉

Corsair, ML 120 RGB... Amazon due to get some back in stock

Also, is your Mboard lighting turned off?

I've not really looked into the settings for the lighting yet - trying to do way too much at once as it is!

How is the temps without a rear fan ? Anything noticable I was looking at that case but no rear fan feels abnormal and scary to my fragile wire obsessed mind ?

They seem pretty good to me, but then my laptop runs hotter than lava with anything more complex than Minesweeper. Idle temps seem to be around 40/45 and I've while I've not pushed it really hard, seem to be getting around low 70s.

With more than 1Tb of games to download and a temperamental internet connection, I'm getting to the point where I can start to do what I bought this thing for - play games!

Ran Civilization VI for a while last night and it was lightning fast, 2 seconds per turn in the early game. Benchmarked it and this was the result:

Late game, I'm used to turns taking upwards of a minute, so 7.6 seconds is just mindblowing...

It's actually reverse time.... AMD have turned your computer sentient and that time is the time in the future that the computer is playing. So each turn is 8 seconds before it's actually happened. It's a feature on Ryzen ;)
