i dont even know what to say here

so after a long wait this is what i got today, the box was wet on one side and the seal had been broken, someone took a peak inside after i opened the big box the sellotape on the laptop box was also cut so someone defintly had already been inside, so now idk what the hell to do, the dpd guy didn't take my signature he just handed it me and as i was looking to see what felt wet he ran off. i'll be ringing pcs in a min and direct them here so they see the pics themselves.

Yeah, I'd ring PCS immediately to let them know, it should not have arrived in such a state.

i've spoke to PCS they have said they are gonna speak to dpd about it, in the meantime they have asked to me try the laptop. so gonna give it a go an see what happens, but cause its been tampered with it just doesn't feel right now, oh well we will see what happens with all this. surprised with all the caution tape all over the box, this is the state i got it in.

My theory. Some div at DPD left it in a puddle/under a leak. This got the box wet (as per your pictures). Panicking, they cut the tape etc to see if the water had gotten all the way in to the laptop. Possibly giving DPD more credit than is due here, but up until the point of delivery, that does seem like a logical set of circumstances (as opposed to DPD worker trying to steal stuff, though of course not saying that isn't possible).

Saying that, DPD/driver should have manned up if it were the case and informed you/PCS. There is probably nothing wrong with the laptop, but I am 100% with you on it feeling odd or a bit bleh to have the box look like that, and the various levels of tape cut.

We await PCS' DPD arsekicking! :D

DPD should pay out for that, that's terrible.

If they didn't get you to sign for it then as far as DPD are concerned, they never delivered it and owe PCS either the unit or the cost of the insured item.

tbf if it was just the big box that was opened it would sting alot less, the fact they opened the laptop box doesn't sit well with me, when you spend over a grand on something you want to take extra care if it, an the guy that delivered it was totally worn in just running off had he stayed an waited there prolly was a chance i would have not accepted it but least they would get respect for taking responsibility.

Personally if the box came like that to me I would of sent it back for a replacement or refund. Sounds like DPD are to blame for lousy service however PCS are responsible for using that carrier. Give them both a call

Well I rang PCS they told me to use it, I thought they would just take it back but no, I could just go for refund , a replacement at this point would just be the same laptop in New packaging but they could least test the laptop an make sure it's in working order. I did find some scuff marks on the charger though, from what I could tell that weren't any visible marks on the laptop.

You didn't sign for it? *cough* test to see if it works, if it does then ring DPD and ask them where your laptop is as you've never received it, *cough* *cough* ;)

Lol what if the DPD driver signed it on his its own . That would be terrible but I have herd it happens sometimes

funnily enough its sais it was signed by me on there website, i would like to see that signature lol. just been testing the laptop its running fine so far cpu did get a bit hot on tests, whats the best way to check gpu core clock i tried msi afterburner but its showing 540mhz for gtx970m which isnt right.

I have worked at DPD warehouse as well as other warehouses and you'd be surprised how many electronics like TVs get wet by holes in a roof. My experience is the wet boxes were left to dry out for day or two before being dispatched. Don't ask, don't tell. The box has been opened most likely to check the goods inside, rather out of desire to steal something. Unless the laptop inside wasn't damaged and PCS told you to open the box I wouldn't be worried much. It is good however you informed about this so there's more pressure on dispatchers to avoid these problems in the future and improve the service provided.

Seems typical of DPD, I'm thinking of getting a PC from PCS and spending quite a lot, my experience with DPD to date leads me to ask for a different courier.

I must be soo behind the times in technology... I had no idea it was even possible to watercool your laptop in this way.
If that DPD driver appears on Dragons Den - I hope they invest.. the guys a genius.
