So i have a dilemma, work will be able to source me a graphics card but wont know until they find out from their supplier how long it will take to get one. Do i cancel my card in the build i have is the question. If a 3090 is easy to install myself, im tempted to go cheap graphics card for now til i get one from work and then put it in. The card work can get is the PNY uprising blower or the PNY Xlr8 gaming x triple fan. (There is 100 euro difference between the 2 and not sue what one is better) Here is my Current spec:

Does anyone know what the estimated wait is on 3090 cards for our builds? and waht typically is the brand that pcspecialist gets?. im on 13 working days wait time so far. Will it be straightforward for me to install my own card instead?

*bump* almost a week and still no reply, can anyone advise? whats the deal with warranty if i order my own card and put a basic one in the system in the meantime? is it easy for me to install a card myself eg i dont need to do any tweaks other than install drivers? i only ask coz i dont see anywhere on forum an estimate of he current wait is for 3090 builds. I'm in pre production 16 working days now. I only ask coz seeing the guys who were waiting for 3080s for more than 100 build days has me concerned.

You are best off talking to PC Specialist support. I lucked out on my machine and have it in dispatch after a few weeks... give them a call. I got a 3090 strix.

Like 8 days, kept asking what the situation was. I was lucky as alot of people switched to titan models which freed up mine. But defo ask them tomorrow and see if they have any 3090s available. You might luck out. What are you using the pc for if you don't mind me asking?

i wanted something for both gaming and cg work, though i dont do any intense cg stuff for my current job as a character modeller in the animation industry, i want to expand my skills and start messing with more software and i think having the big vram amount will help and also mean wont have to upgrade for a few years
