I made this soec 2 weeks ago I just made the same spec to double check the price and it's coming at £1775 (I did it multiple times to make sure I wasn't making an error)that's a £47 increase which is pretty significant. Was just curious why this might be?

Prices change on a day to day basis, could be due to the change in the sterling value.

Prices have been going up steadily since last summer with the state of the £.

The Fractal R5 used to be ~£89, I think it went over £100 briefly, and now seems to be at £99 for example.

I've noticed that the PM961 512gb's price seems to have increased a bit more significantly than certain other components, however, however. It used to be about the same (only a few £ different) to the 850 Evo / HyperX Savage and a lot cheaper than the SM961.

Now it's only ~£30 cheaper than the SM961 (or it was before the 512gb SM961 disappeared from the configurator) and is about £40 more expensive than the 850 Evo.

The link to that spec doesn't work, so here's the spec with a working link:

(Links get abbreviated on the forums so if you copy and paste from another post it will break the link)

Thanks for the reply. Which is better the 512gb SM961 and PM961? I don't mind waiting for the SM961 to be restocked if it has a better performance.

The SM961 is better. However the PM961 is still very fast - faster than even very good sata III SSDs. So it arguably isn't worth the extra cost and/or wait for it to be restocked.

It would make no difference to FPS in games.
