i7 2600k O.C'ed 0r Xeon E3-1240

What would you guys recommend for a workstation computer for rendering animation and modelling, my gpu will be a quadro 4000 and motherboard is undecided, yet if xeon it will be asus revolution if i7 it will be the asus pro v but not sure as of yet???

so which one i7 2600 O.C to 4.60ghz or the xeon E3 1240???

Which 1's are the new xeon chips ?? as far I was aware the E3 have ony just been released havent they???
