Just recently recieved my PC,well had it 2 weeks (will put up a review soon). Got the Inwin dragon rider case, but due to the titan fitted the 220mm fan had to come off side, what I am asking I have noticed that my graphics card is getting hot. Currently I have a side fan to the right of the case when looking at it straight on, 1 on top, 1 on the back and 1 on the front.

On this particular case you are able to fit additional 6 fans on the side were the 220mm fan was, well maybe 4 due to the titan! and also 1 additional 1 to the top if needed.

Question : to assist in the cooling of the gpu would I have to fit intake fans to the side or could anyone recommend the best course of action to aid this, any assistance would be great, I dont know a great deal about fitting fans or there components, so please dont get to into technical terms :)

Thanks again J

I'd add as many fans as possible dude. Could you fit four 120mm fans on the side? Also another one on the top to help exhausting that hot air. If I was you I would get some fans that shift a hell of alot of air, but will be noisy. Would you be concerned about noise?

Personally I have 7 of these in many case - akasa 120mm viper fans The yellow would go well with the yellow fans on the dragon.

If you can fit any 140mm fans in, I'd get these, shift a ton of air! Akasa viper 140mm

These fans are noisy though! lol,

One thing though you may not have enough slots on the motherboard for all the fans, so you may need a fan controller.

Are the fans pretty easy to fit, not really indulged into pc components before?? Were on the mothereboard do they fit? or is there any tutorials i can view ?

Would the fans on the side be intake also, is there a specific way these go to make them intake or exhaust??

yeah the fans are easy to fit, you should have spare screws that came with your case to fit the side fans, maybe in your welcome pack. The side fans want to be for intake,

which motherboard do you have? In your manual it will say where the connections are, if you are unsure what they look like. but you could follow a fan wire from a fitted fan already, to where it connects to the motherboard, then you will see what the connections look like.

There should be arrows on the new fans, will show direction the fan spins, and direction of the airflow

Here's a link for scan.co.uk loads of fans too compare on here, but I have never bought from them, so dont know if they are a decent seller or not.

I got the asus ws revolution motherboard, with the cables all neately tucked away It is hard to distinguish but I suppose I could take the other side panel off to have a look.

Do the fans already come with fitting to attach them ?

Yeah the fans will come with the cables already, all you will need to do is plug them in.

Before you order any fans, lets find where and what ports/connections you have spare on your motherboard.

Do you have this motherboard? A p8p67 ws revolution?

Or this one? A p6t6 ws revolution. I think its this one, but as you have the quatro thingy.

I downloaded the manual for your motherboard, (well the one i think it is anyway)

Go to page 2.2.1 Motherboard layout.

If you look at the corresponding numbers in your manual,

All the fan ports are labelled with a number "3" If you look at the manual then look at the pc, (will have to take the side panel off) you will have to find these ports and see which ones are free. then you will find out how many fans you can connect to your motherboard.

If you want to put max fans on it, you may need a fan controller, which you would connect to the psu, then the fans connect to that instead of the motherboard.

I hope you can follow this, and hope it helps your understanding.
