Installed SSD but not showing up

Hi Guys,

I've had my new PC for a short time and only now just getting around to properly using it. I've installed an extra WD Blue 3D NAND Internal SSD 2.5 Inch SATA - 1 TB. I've plugged the drive into the PC and MOBO, including the power cable (or at least I think I have..), yet the drive is not showing up at all.

Granted it was quite fiddly to get it all plugged in. Would you recommend a double/triple check of the connections again? For reference, here is my system:

Which SATA slot have you connected it to?

The bottom one (#5/6) uses the same lanes as the 2nd M.2 stick...so will not show both drives (and the m.2 drive takes precedence).

Thanks, I think I've put it into that connection. I'll have a look tomorrow if I can but it was also incredibly tricky to get it installed, with the 4070 to get around as well. I'll try and see if I can get it into #1/2

We love you Ukraine
I'd also make sure it's been initialized in Disk Management. It won't just show up in Explorer until that's done.
Yes, I was assuming they were meaning it wasn’t showing in BIOS, check BIOS before making any changes, if it’s not showing in there, it’s a cabling issue, if it is then you need to initialise it in disk management

Any tips at all on how to get this slotted into the #1/2 port on the MOBO without having to take out the 4070 GPU please? Thanks!
