Hi PCspecialist,

I see that I get a free 1 month insurance when I purchase a laptop.
How can I extend this period? Will I receive a proposal when the month end?
Because I can only choose betwen 1 month free and None, but I would like to take it for longer.

Thanks

Thomas

Once your free period rolls over the insurance will continue by direct debit unless you cancel. You will have the opportunity to cancel before the free period expires and we'll send you an email to confirm this.

I had a look at this, and it doesn't mention automatic rolling over in the insurance blurb, except in the separate link "terms and conditions" at the bottom of the page. Don't you think this should be put in a more transparent place where customers can see it? It comes across as a bit misleading.

Yes, I also see that when pressing the ? button, it says that it protect against "Liquid damage", but when looking at the term and conditions, under exclusion, it says : "15. breakdown caused by objects or substances not normally associated with the product such as sand or water. " So is it protected against water spillage or not?

Thank you!

It's a good point - I will investigate this with the insurance company and clarify on Monday.

I have spoken with the insurance company today and they have confirmed that they do cover for liquid damage as we state on our website. They will shortly be issuing a revised Ts and Cs document to remove the inconsistency.

Id have said it was quite clear though, dont really see it as an inconsistency. "not normally associated with the product" excludes things like watercooling because you insured a watercooled pc. That statment is only referring to things like drinks etc.
