Is it time to contact again?

I'm sitting at 37 working days in pre-production

Initially there was a stock issue with my graphics card (which they stated would not be restrocked) so I switched to a card they confirmed was in stock. Slightly weaker card and did cost me more but with shortages it's fine.

Little annoyed I had to call PCS to find out I had to change cards but the customer service guys were great when I spoke with them

That was over a week ago now and I'm about to hit 2 months still in pre-production with confirmation everything is in stock.

At this point should I consider contacting again because this seems like a long time.

Hi there, as I'm sure you're aware, the pandemic is causing massive issues with supply and because people are working at home or getting into PC related hobbies, demand has skyrocketed.

If you attach your configuration I might be able to give a better guess, but generally if you have a higher end Ryzen 5000 series CPU, a 3000 series NVIDIA GPU or some of the higher end AMD GPU's, you'll be put into a pre-order queue which depending on the part could be a month wait, it could be 4 (which is what's happening for the 3080).

As you said all your parts are in stock I'd imagine your PC will go into build soon and calling PCS will only give you another estimate as they can't guarentee. I'd sit back and try not to think about it as best as you can as it'll only make the process slower for you. I'm sorry I couldn't give a better answer but realisitcally there's no way of knowing how long it's going to take.

Even if everything is in stock you’re still in a queue. It all depends what parts you’ve ordered as to how long the wait time will be, but it’s not the case that because all parts are in stock you’ll get built.

Please read the stickies in the forum as they explain the issues with worldwide stocks, highest demand ever for IT equipment due to everyone working remotely now, plus brexit causing freight delays and increased costs plus of course the big Covid.
