That board can support up to 4000MHz RAM, but there’s a distinct lack of return after about 3600MHz.

Either 3200 or 3600mhz would be worthwhile for your uses of the build.

Considering your uses, if budget permits, 32gb would be far better:

Or 16Gb is here:

Well it turned up today, installed it and on hitting the on button had a minor panic as PC wouldn't boot and was making lots of beeping sounds, took the side back off, took one stick out, put it back in and pushed down firmly after the catch had clicked, and it went down a bit further, so pressed down firmly on the other stick, that seemed to go a bit further as well, hit the on button & fired up ok after telling me to run setup, just hit f10 once in BIOS and all was good.

Moral of the story, make sure memory properly seated

Well said, that man. 9 times out of 10 it’s RAM or GPU loose.

Yeah and I thought i'd pushed it in firm the first time around.

M.2 drive arrives tomorrow, anything i should watch for installing that?
That's very simple, just slot it in push it home gently, when the screw lines up then it's home, tighten the retaining screw just finger tight.
