Is the GPU in 17.3 Optimus II upgradable??

Hi,

As per title currently have the 17.3" Optimus II, has the 2gb GT555M in, will most likely have to sen it it in as the D button is pretty busted (have a threa for that) and i've seen that others are able to upgrade the Vortex laptops, just wondered if the Optimus 2 could be upgraded as well??


Got some tax back so might as well get it one if its possible and as i use it for work i'd like to only have to sen it in once.

Have you arrange for an RMA yet? You could try calling them to get a quick response.

No not yet met, have some work to finish so just thought id woul post on here to see if anyone knew, cant sen it back until next week probably as lots of work to be done.

Technical support is pretty good (took less than a week to get my issue sorted), I'd advice you to give them a call to see if an RMA is needed for your keyboard as well as requesting information on the possible upgrade (you could try live chat). If an RMA is approved you can arrange a suitable collection day for your laptop.
