It should be able to play those games, though not at very high settings. What is your budget and what did this build cost? You could maybe save some cash on things like the wifi, blueray drive etc. Perhaps even a cheaper ssd. That might free up some cash for a better graphics card.

Edit: just spotted your motherboard, are you going for a small for factor build?

When I try and replicate your build above, it comes out over £1100, so I'm struggling to improve on it for the £1000 price point.

You could: think about whether you need the blueray player, think about a cheaper wifi card (or none, if you have ethernet access).

At the very least, swapping to the WD black ssd will save you £7, £5 of which would get you the silver warranty (which is a bargain)

If it was me, I'd drop to a cheaper ssd and up the psu at least, for future upgrades.

Hi OP,

£1000 including peripherals is a little tight but you could potentially move things around a little as polycrac has said.

You could potentially come down to 8GB of RAM (a single 8GB stick so that you can upgrade to 16 in future). Also you could switch to a slightly cheaper monitor such as the IIYAMA G2530HSU-B1 24.5".

Ideally for the best upgradeability with our service if you go for a slightly higher processor you can always upgrade the CPU in future

As above, you need to be exact with the budget.

If you're telling us a budget of £1000, but posting specs worth almost £1100, it's very hard to suggest improvements or changes as we're not comparing like-for-like.

What's your absolute top budget for the system including peripherals? And ofc we'll try to get it in lower if that makes sense.

For straight gaming and i5 + GTX 1070 might be the better choice, but for the video and photo editing too I'll go with the i7 plus making sure there is enough in the budget for 16gb RAM and a fast SSD. A GTX 1060 is still very strong for gaming at 1080p and would play things like the Witcher on very high settings.

Not meaning to be rude, the advice is free and most of us don't work for PCS so we have no interest in whether you actually buy or not, but you have started a lot of topics asking for advice:

I'm not sure if you got any of those or not.

And then this topic where we go from £1000-£1100 to £1300 for a desktop.

I'm not criticising :) I'm highlighting this to suggest that I think you will find deciding on a spec easier if you decide on what kind of thing you're looking for, and stick to that plan. Otherwise there is just too much to choose from.

Your laptop will better performance than the PC spec l posted. Unless you are getting another system eg for someone else you could stick with that

Clicking a forum user's name lets you see old topics

Couple of ways, click on your name which is to the left side of your post and one of the options that turns up it to 'View Forum posts' - that shows you the posts from the person whose name you clicked on (which will be yours in this case).
Or click on the Advance Search link in the top right of the forum screen, in there you can specify which users threads you want to look for, put your name in the username section before pressing the search button.
Or if you just want to see your recent activity then click on your name in the header of the page (ie. where it will say 'Welcome, constant00') to go to your profile and you can see your recent activity in there.

can you find my long lost brother from another mother as well.
Fraid not :)
