It depends on what you want to use it for, if it's for gaming then it would help to know what games you play and at what settings.

In general, the M.2 SSD you have selected is excellent, I assume Windows and all your programs will go on there? They certainly should be installed there.

I wonder whether you really need that 960GB SSD for your user data (I assume that's what will go on there?). Music and video files gain no benefit at all from being on an SSD and for files smaller than about 10MB (which is probably 80% of user data) the reduction in load times is really not noticeable, and certainly not worth the expense of a large SSD. Those user data files that do benefit from being on an SSD are those that are large and which must be processed as fast as possible, so photos and images (especially high res photos) large databases, large spreadsheets, large presentations, and large documents etc.

You could save a lot of money by going for a 1TB 7200rpm hard drive and really not see much difference in performance for most data.

The UV400 is quite a budget drive.

I wouldn't buy one if there were an alternative within my budget.

It would in be cheaper to ditch the SM961 and the UV400 and go with a 1TB PM961 instead. While the PM961 is a bit slower than the SM961, it's much faster than even good sata SSDs and means that your storage overall will be a lot faster. If you need more than 1TB storage you can always add in a 1TB WD Black HDD and it doesn't end up costing that much more.
