Hey guys,

I'm planning on buying this machine for gaming on. I want it to be good enough to play mmorpg's on max settings and maybe also Skyrim too. If you have any suggestions on what should be changed (since I'm not very computer savvy, sadly) it would be greatly appreciated :)

Looks like a solid build.But do you need a 2tb hardrive?and do you need that ram?Are you gonna be overclocking(which i dont really see the point)And dont forget the silver warranty for £5

I'd prefer a 2 tb hdd as I'm a massive film geek so the extra storage would be handy. As for the ram, will the samsung ram be just as good? Or do you mean that 8gb is too much? Thanks for replying :)

& no I won't be overclocking lol I would be too afraid to break something xD

Couple of changes, such as the PSU and RAM. The Corsair PSU is more reliable and efficient, and the RAm has been dropped down to 4GB, as nothing really uses 8GB atm, and it can easily be upgraded :) Also, the triple copper cooler will give you cooler CPU temps :) If you could stretch another £30, you could get a 6 core CPU which is what i'd get over the bulldozer :)

You could downgrade the case to give you some more money to play with, unless you got it cause it looks nice :)

Yeah I chose that case because it just looks so good lol ^^. That build looks good, but I have one question: it says that the AMD BULLDOZER QUAD CORE FX-4100 (3.60GHz/6MB CACHE/AM3) is cheaper than the AMD PHENOM II X4 QUAD CORE 960T (3.00GHz/6MB CACHE/AM3) one. Can you explain this to me please as it makes no sense to me xD

Well, when Bulldozer came out, it was abit of a letdown from the views of people, so i guess a lower demand, causes a lower price? :) Or simply the 960T is a better CPU :p

Well from the numbers that are shown it says that the bulldozer processor is more powerfull which is why I'm so confused lol. I hope the price difference is simply because of a lack of demand and that there isn't anything wrong with the processor itself. Would really appreciate it if someone could clarify this for me ^^

cases isnt as good though, but for gaming wise its going to be better.

instead of a green drive get a black drive, or a seagate barracuda, as these are performance drives whereas the green is a slower drive more aimed for storage of music, pics, films etc.

also get a 650w corsair, they look better, better reliability and very energy efficient

just one more thing,

try and up the mobo up the next one, the one in that spec is only sata 3gb/s the but the hdd uses sata 6gb/s, so if you can afford it next the next mobo up to take advantage of the barracudas speed.

I'm glad you mentioned that as I was wondering it myself but wasn't sure. It's why I initially picked the caviar green 3gb/s as the more powerful motherboard was a tad too expensive for me

is 800 max? i've spec i've got a spec here for 808 with a smaller hdd, but better gpu,in my opinion always best to get the best gpu you can afford at the moment. will post it up,

damn bro, a big fan of ATI graphics cards hey? I don't think I'll need one that powerful for playing mmorpg's m8 as my monitor resolution is 1,200 by 900 max.. tis older than god's dog
