Item in stock?

Hi,

So I just made 2 changes to my order. One was a headset and the other was my SSD.

When changing the headset it had a little column saying "In Stock" with a little green circle below it which I'm assuming to mean they have it in.

However for the SSD it had an amber circle below it. Does this mean its out of stock? Or they are low on stock for that particular item?

Not sure if they operate a red, amber, green system for showing stock availability.

Thanks in advance :)

I think that if it were out of stock, it would come up with a red popup to let you know before proceeding to payment. At least, I remember something like that when I made changes to my recent order.

I know that if you select an item in a build in the configurator and then opt for fast track it will tell you if they have the item in stock or not.

So I'd pop in whatever model of SSD into the configurator and see what it says when you proceed with fast track selected. If it throws no errors, they have it.

Rep for that Manta, great idea!

Changed it from the Kingston Hyperx 3K to the Samsung 840 evo.

EDIT: Damn Samsung isn't in stock. Will give PCS a ring tomorrow and ask them if they know when they will get it in. It's only for my OS so if its going to take ages I'll just have to opt back to the Kingston drive.

The Samsung is a slightly better drive but probably not worth holding out for. You would never be able to tell if it as the Kingston or the Samsung when using it. As you say, probably best to change back if they don't have any arriving soon.

Just gave them a ring. They will have the Samsung drive available for me, however the NZXT H440 case wasn't delivered yesterday (their normal stock delivery date) and they currently have no orders as they couldnt find anywhere stocking them :(

He did suggest I buy one myself and send it too them but its more expensive and I'd have to pay for another Saturday delivery to be in to receive it :(

Plus you'll probably find if they're missing stock other places could be too.... it's a very popular case. Just wait it out :)

As Manta says you won't notice any difference between the SSDs.

Yeah, I've looked at other cases but they just don't compare. The Haf x is good, but it just looks ugly to me. Was looking at the Corsair Graphite series case because its got a built in fan controller but I don't think that's worth an extra £30.

They have the Samsung SSD anyway so I've just stuck with my change in that area. If they don't get any H440's next Wednesday though I'll change it as I'd be looking at 20+ working days pre-production.
