I ordered my new beast of a desktop on the 29th December and its now been 19 days and its finally in testing I hope there are no more delays cos I cant wait any more, Im biting my tongue

Just recieved my new mouse and keyboard combo : MX 5500 Revolution.... and I must say the mouse is fantastic, I would definatly recommend for any designers or even gamers out there

yeh QC is still to happen but hopefully everything will run smoothly through this stage and in terms of delivery, I will be collecting the PC myself as I not too far from their offices at least that will cut out 1-2 more days...

Is there a reason for the delays? How come it has taken so long? I ordered my PC last night and it's currently in Pre-Production. How long do you reckon it'll be till I have it? It's nothing fancy (i5-2400, 8GB RAM, Nvidia 530).

Firstly there was my harddrive that was not in stock and was on order and took about 3 days and then I was informed the power supply was also on order for 2 days... But apart from that i think its going pretty quick tbh... the spec of my computer is (i7 3930, Sabertooth X79 Motherboard, 16gb RAM, 2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 560 Ti and the rest so its quite a powerful machine so theres prob a few more tweeks to do in order for it to run smooth which probably explains the delay also..

I reckon I will have it by Thursday but theres me praying it is ready for Wednesday

But yeah, QC should take 1 day unless they find something wrong. ( think it's 1 day, more than positive)

It is between 24-48 hours for desktops and 2-48 hours for laptops. Basically, it's one day.

And @Ashhol: It should take about 10 days, plus delays for anything that goes wrong.

Sadly im still on the Inbuilding stage and its been 16 working days Been waiting to go into testing for 3 and a half working days.

Is you build complicated? Is it overclocked? Does it need an operating system installed on it?
As mine has none of the above, I'm hoping it'd be a short build. I really can't wait for it to come!

Its overclocked yes, but that would only delay the testing stage once started i would assume. But im still waiting to move onto the testing stage so im not sure whats up. The processing and pre-production stages have taken 12 working days alone partly due to a missing part. But the processing was still very slow due to the time of year i bought it '27th december'.

Still upset that its not advanced in quite some time now though. I think you can pay extra to get it early.

You can pay extra yeah, but I prefered to spend the extra money on better components. I have no idea how overclocking works, but I assume they have to take time overclocking it in the pre-production stage.

you should give them a call, I have been ringing every couple of days to check on status cos you cant always trust what it says on online, plus you can try and get it pushed forward a little... Im due a phonecall anytime to say I can pick up, im guessing it will be Thursday now as iv not heard anything today ...
