Just Cause 2 issues & Steam sale price fluctuation

Hey guys

Purchased Just Cause 2 for £2.99, what a bargain. Played it on console but never finished it, and for that price you can't say no. Game is already back to to £4.99, strange how the prices dip and rise again, i've noticed it a lot during the sale

Anyway playing early on I've had some graphical issues. Seem to have streams of red appearing all over the screen, and the sky at times goes funny as well, kind of Grey (no not rain:stuart The game runs at normal speed, no slow down or anything like that. Will play again tonight. I posted similar issues i had 3 months back with Tomb Raider and Far Cry 3 (Colouring and glitching that lasted a day and then stopped again). Running a GTX 670, and put all settings at high, should easily be able to cope with this game!

Any ideas?

Regarding pricing, its just whether they are in Flash Sales or Daily Sales, which might mean a 75% discount, but games do remain "in the sale" at somewhere more like 50% or 33%. Hence the change

put adaptive vysnc on mate,

nvidia control panel, manage 3d settings, global settings, scroll down to vertical sync, set it to adaptive.

I swear it was even cheaper than £2.99 the other day as I thought about getting it. I could have sworn I saw it for £1.74-£2.00'ish. Not that the extra quid really makes a huge difference in the grand scheme of things!

I'm really trying to refrain from buying games unless they're dirt cheap in the sale though. Normally anything with over 75% off is acceptable for me as it's unlikely to get cheaper, seen some for 85% off as well though!

Just Cause 2 is good fun though, if I remember correctly they ruined it a tad with the stupidly easy auto aim which I'm fairly sure you can turn off but then it makes it stupidly hard (I have only played it on the console though...). Setting V-sync to adaptive should do the trick though.

You're right....i think , i'm sure i saw it for £1.99! cheers for the help, will look at it tonight and try the suggestions. You do have to be really careful with the sales, i got Max Payne for..£12 i think (And i thought that was great!) it's now £6.24 :taz:

Yea it was only last night that DM was asking me to buy Natural Selection 2 for like £4. Today it's up to like £12.. Probably gonna have to give it a miss now.
