Just received my 4K Octane III 17.3" - Dead Pixel :(

So my Octane III 4K 17.3" came today. Amazing machine, very impressed with the spec etc, but... Sadly, it came with a very noticeable dead pixel in the top right portion of the 4K screen and has gone yellow around this pixel to about the size of a 5p coin.

I've tried to get a good picture of it, but it doesn't show up well on camera.

Does anyone have experience with claiming on the dead pixel guarantee?

No, but if you got the guarantee you should just be able to phone PCS and I'm sure they'll make the necessary arrangements.

They may suggest you try some software to shift the dead pixel (there are a few out there I think, I can't recall which is the one PCS suggest). Might be this one: http://www.jscreenfix.com/

The size of a 5p isn't a dead pixel, that's dead pixels and will be covered under the standard warranty. Suppliers are only allowed a certain amount of dead pixels on a screen before it is classed as faulty, yours sounds WAY past this level.

Now it's started doing this at the login screen, but once you log in everything is fine againhttp://imgur.com/cdiTZb6 apart from the aforementioned dead pixel and yellowing.

I've requested an RMA and it's due to be collected on Monday morning.

Less than impressed and a bit disappointed if I'm honest.
