Although I'm a casual gamer, and so probably won't need 16GB of RAM, at this price I'm looking for it to last a good while and would like to future-proof it somewhat, which is why I've opted for 12GB rather than just 8GB. I just wonder how having it split as 1 x 8GB and 1 x 4GB works, and if this will actually make a noticeable difference. If not then I suppose I'll relent and pay the extra £33 to have 16GB, but I don't want to spend the extra money if the 12GB is sufficient.
Any advice is appreciated.
