Laptop with no Os. Still use driver cd?

I ordered my laptop without an OS as I have a windows 8 cd already. Should I install the drivers that came with the laptop from PCS or would it be ok

Yes,install the drivers from CD provided,though it may be necessary to get updated drivers from manufacturers website for some device or other.

Thank you. Anther problem is I installed W8 and on startup it's giving me the option booting into two w8 partitions. Only or works though. How can I get rid of the other one?

If i was in your shoes, and i'd only just installed Windows 8, i'd boot from the disk and format the drive before reinstalling windows again. Not sure how well this would work, but if you have nothing to lose
