Awesome! I hope you get many hours of happy computing! :)

I spoke to PCS just before I placed my order, they had all of the components except the integrated scandinavian keyboard (I'm currently living in Norway) which they were due in this week sometime, so that will delay my order slightly, oh well, I guess the wait will be worth it in the end :)

Hi there

That's funny because I'll be your "neighbor" from next month.
I'm leaving UK going to Mozambique to live and having a nice warm Christmas :santa: away from the cold lol
Anyway hope you get your new rig and everything goes well

I'm wondering if I made a mistake by not calling them before I placed the order. I asked around the forums a lot beforehand and then I assumed it would be fine to just buy it. Might give them a ring later!

I am also currently living in Norway and was very happy to find a scandinavian keyboard. Although upon messaging them i was informed that the keyboard is in fact swedish and they do not have a Norwegian version. It may be a good idea for you to do the same unless you want a swedish keyboard? I ended up changing it back to a english keyboard.

Thanks for the heads up Kyzer. What is the difference between the swedish keyboard and the norwegian keyboard do you know? Are the symbol placements the same? On my keyboard that im using at the moment, I can use both swedish and norwegian vowels, both vowels are on the same key but I need to use an alternative key to use the swedish vowels.....will it be something similar? Or will there only be the swedish vowels on the keyboard? If this is the case then I guess I can download some kind of software to use norwegian vowels when pressing the key for it, if that makes sense?

It's not too important that the keyboard is norwegian to be honest, I just thought it would be nice to have seems as i'm living here, but I can just aswell use the laptop I am currently on if I need to, I will mostly be using the new laptop for gaming.

The laptop is still in the Pre Production stage, so I guess I can change it if need be, I'll call them tomorrow.

Thanks

Just answering my own question, I changed the keyboard in the windows software from Norwegian to Swedish and everything seemed ok, all the symbols and letters were the same, and the scandic vowels were in the same place too, so I guess it's no problem to recieve the swedish keyboard and just change it to a Norwegian keyboard within the windows software.

Wait what? Is this a definate possible? sorry for sounding daft but i just not very clever with windows anymore as i have been an avid apple lover for the past few years.

I had already changed my keyboard back to english.. might have to give them a call as it is still in pre production

I would change it back to the Scandinavian keyboard if I were you while it is still in pre production. I have spoken to pcs about the keyboard and it is a generic keyboard, meaning both Swedish and Norwegian vowels are on the same key. I have a picture that a guy from pcs sent me of the keyboard so can confirm this. Hope this helps.

What it make it worst is I've sold my desktop last week and at the moment I'm using a really old laptop with a intel Dual core 1.8Ghz coming from a Intel i7 970 OC at 4.2Ghz
The reason I've sold the Desktop is I'm moving from UK next month and it is to expensive to travel/send a desktop abroad. I couldn't afford it

Thought about doing the same but on my 7th working day in pre production it would be a colossal waste of money... i should have caved and gone straight to express delivery

I'm with you on that. I'm on my 7th working day in pre production now and it would be madness to go fast track now after waiting this long already.
As the saying goes : Good things come to those who wait :D (even though it's damn hard)
