Liquid Cooling Not Cooling

I'm running a 2600k at 4.6ghz with the lowest vcore possilbe (1.3v) and it still hits temps of 75 degrees or more in Prime95. If I go to 4.8ghz with 1.36v it hits 85 degrees!

Others with similar specs report a max temp of 60-65 degrees with 4.6ghz.

I've got a feeling this Coolit Eco ALC is a bit crap, or it's not seated correctly? I've even fitted an extra fan in a push pull combo and it's still hot. What temps are you guys seeing on 4.6ghz?

75 degrees at 4.6GHz is fine when maxing it out using prime 95. It wont get anywhere near that when hammering it with real world apps. The processor is throttled at 95 degrees so lots of headroom yet.

The Eco's (and any prebuilt self contained loop for that matter) can be compared to a good air cooler, they are not by a long shot a custom loop with a 360 rad.

The temps you mention are quite acceptable for what is a quite big clock. Anyone who claims otherwise is fudging the numbers.

You will need a considerably higher spec cooler to not see an overclock of 1.4ghz bring the temps above 65c.
