I would downgrade the motherboard to the z87-a and drop the h60 cpu cooler for the triple copper heatpipe. You won't get much benefits between 1600mhz and 2400mhz ram either and you could try getting a better secondary drive like the caviar black.

The PC has been ordered and is currently in pre-production using the changes you suggested.

However, i'm now having doubts about the GPU after having read various reviews and was wondering if somebody could give me an informed answer to whether it's worth getting the 4gb version or should I downgrade to the 2gb version as i'm never going to be running a resolution of 5760×1080.

There is not going to be an advantage to getting the 4Gb version however I don't think you'll be saving much (something like £20-30? at a guess) by dropping down to the 2Gb version if that's what was concerning you.

Price doesn't concern me as already paid in full and its only a saving of £39. Just concerned that the computer might be trying to do to much and not need to.

Or is that just me being silly? lol

Haha, I wouldn't worry about it. Basically the additional ram would only be of benefit and is unlikely to cause any noticeable issues. If it were me I'd leave it as is.
