My ideal budget is between £200 and £250 although I could manage £350 at a pinch. and due to space restrictions 24" would be ideal but could maybe squeeze in a 27" screen if I rearrange a few things :)

You need to be looking at a 27” 1440p monitor, it wasted on a 1080p.

edit, i read that as 5700 Not 5600

however would still be more inclined for 1440, as the monitor will likely be around longer than the graphics card.

I wouldn't suggest going for that build though @BarryWatson463 there are new CPU's and GPU's that would be far better suited at the same budget.

I'd hang on just a tiny bit and get the 5700X and the RTX 3060ti.

That would be the 5700XT, the 5600XT is better for 1080p 144Hz

Yep, as I said I miss read it :)

However the a decent 1440p with still be looking fine when the 5600 needs replaced.

which if it had been a 2060, would be a 4060 (or 3060)

It it that cack ?

I thought it was for very top end 1080p and mid to high on 1440p
Yeah, my apologies, you're absolutely right, I was looking at the 1% lows in the benchmarks and also thinking they were from the cards release date but they're actually very current.

Yes, absolutely spot on, thanks for the correction, would much better suit a 1440p 144hz monitor in that case, would be far better for future proofing.

Again though, I wouldn't buy that GPU over the upcoming 3060ti, you'll get much better 1440p support with newer technology support at around the same cost (hopefully).

Definitely on the 3060, although Will interesting to see if the AMD cards deliver.

The 3060 is apparently going to be on 7nm rather than 9nm, what difference that makes to the price of fish in real world terms I don’t know lol.

Yeah, there are so few leaks about the upcoming AMD cards that it's really hard to decipher how they're going to compete, but what they've suggested so far does point to the fact that they will be able to compete even in the high end which is going to be really really interesting, I can't wait for the reveal!

Especially if they’re more stable and less prone to their recent driver issues. It’s an exciting time to be a gamer, for sure!
