Looking for a GPU upgrade soon

Had my PC just over a year now, bought it in April with the GTX 580. It's running great at the moment so I was either A) going to put it up for sale OR B) stick it into a secondary machine.
But my question is, should I go for the 680 or 770, they are both very close in terms of FPS but a £70 difference between them. Is it worth spending that £70 for newer architecture and possibly quieter noise?

Are there games you are struggling to run with the gtx 770? I would consider the HD 7970 that you can get for around £260 and includes free games.

Well the games that I play I can play on medium/max so the cards perfectly fine. I was thinking of putting it into my brothers PC and getting a new card.

Either the 680 or the 770 would be a good choice, assuming you're PSU is powerful enough.

I was actually thinking the same recently.
My 580 kicks into overdrive too often for my liking and warm my feet up.

I was also looking at the 680 and 770. I was edging towards the 770 as it has some more cuda cores but would love to hear peoples views especially if they own them.

EDIT: Sorry to hijack, but its the same subject, saves a new thread :)
