Looking for some Advice on my Spec choice ^_^

Hi, I'm finally upgrading from my piece of crap laptop I've had for many years into a gaming comp! So basicly I'm looking for a computer I can do hardcore multi tasking with: for example having Skype open whilst gaming with say a recording programme on and lets say downloading stuff at the same time. I am also looking for one that's endurable to many hours of gaming at one time and being switched on for days on end. My budget is around £1-1.5k(including operation system, windows 8). Here are the specs I have chosen so far, however I am a complete noob at this kind of stuff so any changes you think I should make would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ah thank you for replying so quickly. But if you don't mind id like to ask some questions about he changes you made just so I have a general understanding. Firstly the mother board why did you switch it to that one? Like was the criteria I'm looking for more suited to one? What does this one do that the other one doesn't. Secondly You shortened the RAM needed, is this because I went over kill with the RAM? And lastly you changed the cooling system. Is this because its more effective at keeping the system cooler than the liquid cooler? What makes the copper pipe more efficient? And that's all I'd like to know, sorry for being a nuisance, I'm just curious and thank you for your help!

Firstly the mother board why did you switch it to that one?
any motherboard in the configurator will offer similar performance for your intended use. A more expensive motherboard will offer features that the average user wouldn't need.
Secondly You shortened the RAM needed
unless you are doing heavy editing 8gb ram is plenty.
And lastly you changed the cooling system
at stock clock speed (no overclocking) there is no need for anything higher than the triple copper heatpipe, the h80i is a great cooler but you are paying more for similar performance if you are not overclocking your cpu.
You forgot to ask about the gpu :)
The gtx 780 is miles better than the gtx 760. Really depends on the type of games you have in mind but the GTX 780 will max any games.

You don't need a liquid cooler. So why spend the money? The triple copper will keep it perfectly cool. 8gb RAM is fine for gaming, and the motherboard won't affect performance and tbh has a bunch of fancy features that do..... Nothing. The sabertooth is a waste.

Oooo I see that's awesome to know, I did however forget to mention that I will indeed be doing my fair share of video editing. Will this change anything? Also this may sound stupidly, ridiculously noob to you guys but wtf is overclocking and what is it used for LOL  Thanks again!

overclocking is to increase the clock speed of your cpu, it benefit applications that are more cpu intensive.

Doesn't benefit them a huge amount though. How high level video editing? If it's just organising clips and whatnot 8gb is fine.

Yea its just basic editing like editing recordings I take of game play or recordings I make for school.

Seeing as your budget changed.
I would definitely drop the SSD and get the 780 instead.
It's easier and cheaper to add an ssd later than it is to upgrade the GPU later.

I would too xD but my budget has went down and I don't feel its necessary for me to have a 780 as the games I play aren't that intense. The kinda games I play only recommend things like " nVidia GeForce FX 5700 or ATI Radeon X 1600" for high settings, lmao xD
