Looks as though the Berserker C Drive has died

Just been upstairs to grab something off my printer, walked in the room to the sight of the BIOS screen on The Berserker, selected discard changes and exit and media check couldn't find bootable media solooks like the 980 Pro has died, so time to fish out emails etc and get a new one sorted

That’s a real surprise!

I take it you’d updated the firmware when you got it?

If/when mine goes I'm putting in a Crucial T705 gen 5 drive ;)
Must say, my T700 is absolutely mental! I started a transfer of about 500Gb (I think it was) back when I was setting up the PC, left it and went for a ciggy thinking it would take ages, by the time I was back about 4 minutes later it had already completed! I totally didn’t believe it so spent about 30 minutes checking the transferred directories to be sure 😂

Yeah firmware all up to date, was and wasn't a surprise, had a samsung fail in laptop if you remember

Yeah got prime day coming up so may get this replaced under warranty and see what crucial drives are on prime day

Does appear that Samsung have lost their crown with the arrival of gen 5 (so far anyway), a few other manufacturers definitely seem to be ahead of the game

I would say, if your board doesn’t have a good heatsink for the SSD, get the Amazon option with the heatsink, definitely needs one
The board is ASUS® ROG STRIX X570-F GAMING (USB 3.2 Gen 2, PCIe 4.0) - ARGB Ready!, so has heatsink built in

I have been properly impressed with these new crucial drives, they’re extremely good
Yeah got a Crucial P2 CT2000P2SSD8 in the laptop

Well this got really weird, having had all the no media present messages yesterday, I'd long pressed the power switch and turned it off.

Turned it on this afternoon, it told me updates were under way, once the updates had finished which involved a couple of restarts, It fired up without any problems, so ran Samsung magician and a quick scan, and this was the result
