Lost Windows 8 Disc

I've had my Optimus IV for over a year now and I've decided to remove everything from my hard drive and start fresh. This is mainly because my PC's running slow and I desperately need to clear some disk space. Unfortunately, when I want to reinstall windows, I realised I lost my windows 8 DVD but I still have the OEM product key and all of the other disks that came with it except the windows DVD. I haven't removed windows yet and have tried to make a USB recovery drive but you can't reinstall windows just using a USB recovery drive.

Is there any way of reinstalling windows without the DVD? I'm just a bit surprised Microsoft don't have a way to reinstall windows with just the product key. If not will PCSpecialist replace my CD? How much would it cost to get it replaced?

If PCSpecialist cant help, just type "windows 8 iso download" in a search engine. as long as you have a genuine windows 8 key should be no problems.

Yeah I'll probably end up doing this if I get no where with PCSpecialist. It's funny that I've resorted to 'piracy' considering this is the first expensive software I've bought in a while.

Have you got a recovery partition? On my vortex I hit f8 on loading and get an option to reset to an out of the box state- Windows installed, but specific drivers need loading afterwards from disk

Not piracy, you can download legitimate os with 30 day trial that can only be activated with a genuine key
